One from my side -

11. Anup Ghoshal - Tum Saath Ho Zindagi Bhar Ke Liye (Sheeshe Ka Ghar)

Bappi Lahiri used Anup Ghoshal as excellently as RD Burman had done a year before in Masoom - it's sad that Anup did not get used more in Hindi songs ...

My personal favourite is "Mana ho tum behad haseen". Yesudas was simply superb in this song.
Interlude is awesome.

yes this song was a megahit, but kishore's Naha sa Panchhi, Lataji's Doob raha hai mera dil and bappida's bandhan kat gaye were incredible!!!! TOOTE KHILONE was one of bappida's early xcelleance

Yes, remember the 1984 western cowboy flick named SHAPATH? Raj Babbar did a Clint Eastwood, can u believe it? And had Smita Patil too. Anyway, miscasting was not uncommon in Bollywood those days.

Coming back to the question, Shapath had this excellent Anup Ghoshal number, composed by Bappi Lahiri: husn bhi aap hain, ishq bhi aap hain, jis taraf dekhiye aap hi aap hain.

Right. And post-Disco Dancer, there were a few soft romantic numbers that did not become hits. But those are true gems that we can discuss here. One such complete album that comes to mind is MAIN TERE LIYE. This was Vijay Anand's film, in which he wrote the lyrics of the songs as well. It had three of Amit Kumar's best rare songs, two amazing numbers by Anup Ghoshal (again, yes), and one Bappi Lahiri song.

So, Arnab, here we have another film in which Bappi used Anup Ghoshal's voice.

Arnab,

In my LP, the title song "main tere liye" is in the voice of S. Janaki and Amit Kumar. I don't know whether there is an Asha solo version of the song.

Sorry, Indy, I do not have this one. But yes, I can rip the two from Main Tere Liye and share them. So, this makes a total of 4: Shapath, Main Tere Liye (2), and Sheeshay Ka Ghar. Are there any more Bappi-Anup numbers? Let's upload these, whoever has them.

atanuda, other than these I can't remember any, moreover for its virtually impossible 2 search as my disckuda records hv become almost unmanagable

another heavenly combo is Bappida with yesudas, u guys list them all, I will also participate, BTW do any one of u know anything abt a film composed by Bappida called SANT RAVIDAS KI AMAR KAHANI, I am told yesudas has 2 songs in this film, again do any one of u hv MR. AZAD (most likely VENUS ACD), yesudas has a song here also, rest all of u must b knowing, I hv been looking for these OSTs

if possible some one writes abt AWARA SUR (nonfilm album) , HAYE MERA DIL, SAGAR SANGAM

sharing Husn bhi aap ho, its almost a 9 minutes song, obviously file size is quite large

Yes, Arnab. Yesudas made a great pair with Bappi Lahiri. Some of the songs I love are:

maana ho tum I and II - Toote Khilone
dheere dheere subah hui - Haisiyat
char din ki zindagi mein - Ek Baar Kaho
shyam rang ranga re - Apne Paraye
madhav tu hi jaane - Apne Paraye
gaao mere man - Apne Paraye
teri chhotisi ek bhool - Shikshaa
zidd na karo - Lahu Ke Do Rang
pyar ka paras - Nai Imarat
zindagi se khelo na - Shart

I know I must have missed a few. Achha, is "imtihan" from Himmatwala sung by Yesudas or by SP Bala?
