Romee, since you have uploaded this version, let me upload another for you and all. My Dear Rishi, I am properly puzzled with this upload of yours (IMG:style_emoticons/OurHFMEmot/blink.gif) What has it to do with the boring Sooraj song of SJ!? (IMG:style_emoticons/OurHFMEmot/blush.gif) Did SJ stole the tune from this song. If so why are you calling it another version? You should call it the Original one... I dont know the history behind the song but I was pleasantly surprised to listen to Rafisaab singing the english version of this song and also the song "Hum Kaale Hain To Kya Hua". Maybe it was an innovation while performing a song in UK or someother place outside India. Maybe somebody can enlighten on this aspect. |

These English songs were created after the Hindi originals had become super-hit songs.
I believe these two songs ('Although We Hail From Different Lands', and 'The She I Love') were on the same record, that was released in 1968-69. This needs to be confirmed, but the English lyrics were written by Harindranath Chattopadhyay, the poet and actor, Indydave |
