Hi all,
This is a good move. I am not sure how many of you are based in Mumbai, but on the FM radio, which usually belt out boring remixes, it is quite a pleasnat surprise to hear RJs like Kalindi and Aniruddh. Kalindi hosts Purani Jeans at 9 pm on Radio Mirchi and she plays some delightful songs - some regular RD numbers like from HUm Kisise Kam Nahin, Yaadon ki Baraat, and some others that are not often heard - like Oye Tauba mujhe tune (Jawaani Diwaani). Of course, Vividh Bharati still plays good songs, but they must revamp their reception and programming! On Anirudh, i think he has got a bit too big for his boots, he is good, but i think he knows that and overdoes the lover boy bit, which can get a bit jarring duing his shows. How is the music sccene on FM in other cities? Cheers Narayan |

Talking about FM scene in Mumbai,if any channel(other than Vividh Bharti) wants to play Old Songs more than 70% are RD's songs. The reason being it is only RD who has recorded songs with full range of frequencies,with best use of Bass guitar and instruments like Reso-reso at the other side of the frequency bend with excellent use of stereo effects too.So even after 20-25 years they sound even better than todays recordings on FM.So we happpen to hear songs from films like 'Jeeva','Zamen Aasman','Sitamgar' and 'Saverewali Gaadi', totally unheard when the films were released.
Can somedy tell me how songs can be uploaded? Ajay |

A little feedback on your upload Ajay - it's not working; it seems as if the archive header is broken. Try compressing it again, and uploading it - the file size seemed to be too small ...
