Dear all,
Please find below details of an exclusive musical event that is being organized from tomorrow...My good friend Kushal Gopalka, alongwith Birla Arts & Cultural Centre, Mumbai is presenting a very unique 10-day exhibition to trace the evolution of music and recorded sound in India. Request all to not miss this 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity and make it convenient to visit the exhibition. A counter for "Swar Aalap" has also been organized as part of the event. Press release and relevant details below : ‘Of the record’ is a walk down memory lane to experience the evolution of Indian music & culture through displays of original gramophones, vintage audio equipment, gramophone vinyl records & authentic memorabilia, curated by Kushal Gopalka & presented by the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. Commencing on August 31, 2007 (4:30 pm – 6:30 pm) and followed by the lecture series and musical talks 7:15 pm onwards, this show will trail 100 years of music and recorded sound in India. The show will be on till September 9, 2007. It is a public display with no entry fee.
