listen 2 this Bengali Modern song by Rafisaab composed by Basu-Manohari, rhythm pattern is completely panchamish

ripped frm t INRECO EP which contains 4 songs and among them 2 were smash hits in early 80's

can u name those two songs?

this song goes like

tar chokhe neme asa
rang-e rang-e bhalobasha......

I find some similarity with Indrani Sen's Dhire Dhire Din Gona , put ur opinion on this

This song was a huge huge hit and AFAIR it was released during one of the Pujas.

I have this casette and specially the songs Tomar Neel Dopati Chokh, Na Na Na Pakhi Tar Buke Jeno and Gulmohore Phool Jhore Jaaye were just awesome. However Rafi Saab's rendition of these songs were not upto the mark ( in my opinion) because of his pronunciations however the music pulled the album through and it was a smash hit. This was in 1979 just released before the Durga Puja. Infact we had a thread in the Rafi section also. The karaoke tracks of these songs were also there in the Karaoke thread.

I have no clue about the record.. but one of the smash hits U R mentioning from this rafi series must be "Na Na Na, Pakhi-tar buke jeno tir mero na".. which used to play in all puja-pandals..
